David P. Calfee, MD, MS is a Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Population Health Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York, NY (USA).  He is the Chief Hospital Epidemiologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and the Deputy Medical Director of Infection Prevention & Control and the Associate Chief Epidemiologist for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.  His research interests include the epidemiology and prevention of healthcare-associated infections and multidrug-resistant organisms. He is a fellow of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.  He is the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief for Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology (ICHE).
