Specialized in infectious disease (ID), infection prevention and control, and critical care medicine.

After working in Uganda as a volunteer physician, completed ID fellowship in the US, and a training on health emergencies in Japan. Work experience includes AMR policy making at Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in Japan, and IPC promotion and education at WHO headquarters in Geneva. Currently works in ICU at a tertiary care hospital in Japan, while conducting a research on hand hygiene promotion in eastern Uganda, named MIKONO project.
